Our Fun Learning Focus:

LEARNING THRU PLAY

Play is critical to the healthy growth and development of the children. As children play, they learn to solve problems, get along with others and to develop their fine and gross motor skills. Play can enrich learning and develop key skills such as inquiry, expression, experimentation, and teamwork.

CREATIVE EXPRESSION

Creative expression invites children to engage their imagination, encourage their curiosity about life and express themselves. Children have fun while developing their critical thinking skills through opportunities in multi-sensory exploration of their environment through art forms such as painting, coloring, writing, music, or crafts. These creative experiences can help develop meaningful connections in their developing minds as they move, touch, hear and manipulate different materials.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Physical activity not only helps children to achieve and maintain a healthy body, but it also helps to improve their confidence, self-esteem, social, cognitive, and emotional skills. It helps in building coordination, control, and strength of their bodies from an early age.

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT

Music and movement in the early childhood classroom is an important part of a child’s day. It helps develop gross motor skills, social skills, listening skills, and self-esteem. It helps the body and mind to connect while building motor skills and allowing children to develop and engage in their self-expression.

MEDITATION AND YOGA

We integrate meditation and yoga-based activities through developmentally-appropriate breathing exercises, playful yoga postures, relaxation techniques that help children release worry, build self-regulation, enhance imagination, and boost positive thinking.

SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL

Empathy is one of the emotional capacities that develop during early childhood and it is also an important component of positive social behavior. With the help of developing empathy, children can become kind and compassionate; they can be more tolerant and more aware of the suffering of others. They develop compassion through the act of caring and kindness towards others, and as they grow, it can guide their actions and behaviors in positive ways. Our teacher role models the caring and compassionate behavior to create an empathetic classroom where all children feel valued and safe.
